Delayed update

Published by Jayvee at 5:19 pm under School

Last night, I’m very, very busy. If you knew, I’ve got 2 quiz a while ago. PolSci 211 and MC 90. I have to study all those subjects for that night. That was insane. What I did was to read those few theories. There was 11 theories all in all. I only read about 8-9 of them. The rest were scanned just to get the idea. In the case of PolSci 211, I read my notes. I did depend on my notes because I have a different book from them. I only used my current book as my reference. To get my lesson going, I have to buy the book. The book is called A Textbook on Philippines Constitution by Hector De Leon. Either 2005 or 2008 edition. I went to a lot of bookstores here and they are out of stock. The ships were grounded due to the recent accident of M/V Princess of the Stars and that incident caused a lot of delays specially for us students because the bookstores here in Davao depend on the shipping of the books. If the bookstores here don’t get their order then we don’t have a book. So, it’s a hassle for us because we have to wait and wait and wait for the books to arrive.

You know what, the incident caused by M/V Princess of the South caused a lot of problems because the ships were grounded and the shipments delayed. How can we or particularly the consumers get our products from Manila or Cebu which in fact we depend on ships to get the orders in their destination. So, it’s the story of negligence wherein the officials responsible should be kind enough to submit any revised maritime law because not only it would help and update the ship companies but to extend the safety procedures inside and outside the ship. I hope this would be a lesson for us all because we need not to depend on the government or to anybody else because it can’t contribute in the progress of the Philippines and furthermore, it would just create chaos.

Anyway, I want to join an extra curricular activity on our campus. I got an application form at Atenews, the official paper of Ateneo de Davao University. I just submitted my application form this morning and I hope I can join the team. I really like to write but I would appreciate it if I could do photojournalism but I don’t have a camera yet. Bad luck for me. I’ll just end up writing an article or so on the paper. We will have our examinations this Saturday and I picked 1:00-4:00 pm because I can’t wake up early on a Saturday morning.

Oh by the way, I changed again my style in writing. I’ll just focus on a certain topic and I’ll not include any other topic because I would be running out of topics in the end. If I can’t think anymore (as if it would) then I’ll just post the date.

Happy blogging my fellow bloggers.
