Take The Lead (Movie)

Published by Jayvee at 2:34 pm under Movies

Last night, I stopped my computer by 12 am (would I consider that last night? Maybe not.) I turned to HBO and watched Gridiron Gang. I movie where the The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) was the main cast of the characters. It’s a movie about Kilpatrick Mustangs, a football team consisting of delinquent children with major offenses. I didn’t have the chance to start the movie since it was on the half way. All I watched was the championship and the credits roll by. After the Gridiron Gang, I switched to Northern Mysteries. I watched the Hitch… I don’t know the name phenomenon. A simple thunder shock could destroy tanks, kill people without a trace. When the advertisements kick in, I changed the channel. I went back to HBO and to my surprise, it’s Antonio Banderas who led the movie. I was curious and I was like this is the Take The Lead movie.

The plot of Take The Lead was Antonio Banderas AKA Pierre Dulaine was a witness of Rock’s grieve offense against Principal James’ car. Pierre wants to report to Principal James about her car but she wouldn’t believe him. Pierre told her he wants to teach the students about classical dance and Principal James agreed. The day after, Pierre failed to teach the students due to their uncooperativeness on Pierre. The student doesn’t want to learn until Pierre brought Morgan, a haughty but highly trained student of Pierre back to his studio. They were amazed and they were eager to learn classical dance. Pierre told the student about the contest where the grand prize is $5000 and they were excited. The school’s detention classroom was flooded and they transferred to Mr. Dulaine’s studio. But Morgan spoiled the fun and told them about the entrance of the contest. Mr. Dulaine was able to searched for funds and the students were able to join the competition.

To make this shorter, I love the movie. Since I’m too ignorant about classical dance and how I hated it, it makes me think that classical dance can be synchronized with modern dance. More of Take The Lead’s plot here via Wikipedia.
